Female-Fronted Friday: Danger Kitty

When: Released their debut album in 2023

Where: Northern California

Genre: Indie Americana

FFO: Tom Petty, Brandi Carlile, First Aid Kit

Danger Kitty hails from Redding, California, and consists of Kane McGee, vocalist Demetra Frese, Mark Frese, Tyler Mansfield, and Ashley Black. Each musician in the band has multiple talents, and this enables the quintet to explore a range of styles. Incorporating everything from blues to funk to the folksy side of rock, and several genres that fall in-between, Danger Kitty creates a sound that is unique, yet as familiar as the most classic tune.

The band will be playing Redding Roots Revival Festival, which takes place September 11th and 12th. They are also working on their third album, My Kinda Crazy.

Follow Danger Kitty on their socials and streaming platforms to keep up with their journey! They’ve had a very busy 2026, and it looks like that momentum will carry over into the new year!
