Shinedown — “Sound of Madness,” from the album The Sound of Madness (2008).
Album of the Week: Shinedown’s The Sound of Madness
I really do adore this album. It’s totally amazing. Shinedown is one of the only bands whose ballads I love, and my favorites from The Sound of Madness are “Second Chance,” “If You Only Knew,” and “The Crow and the Butterfly.”

Weekly Focus: Shinedown, Day One
Shinedown — “.45,” from the album Leave a Whisper (2003).
Album of the Day: Slash/Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators’ World on Fire
I love Slash and Myles Kennedy and the work they do together. It’s the perfect pairing ❤

Album of the Day: Bloodrock’s Bloodrock 2
Bloodrock is one of the more obscure bands my parents listen to. Mom said she was describing a song to my dad — “DOA,” incidentally — and he told her he knew it and, in fact, he had the album.

Weekly Focus: Muse, Day Seven
Muse — “Mercy,” from the album Drones (2015).
Album of the Day: Pink Floyd’s Animals
Animals will always make me think of my parents. They both love this album, and apparently, one of the cats they had when they were first married did, too. Lol.

Weekly Focus: Muse, Day Six
My favorite song from The 2nd Law.
Muse — “Panic Station,” from the album The 2nd Law (2012).
