Industrial/dark ambient music from the UK. For fans of Nine Inch Nails, Orgy, Deftones, etc. Prescription Happiness is currently booking shows and has just gotten their merch store up and running. Listen to “Hide and Seek” and “Still Breathing.”

3. In Vein

Hard rock/metal from Indiana. For fans of Escape the Fate, The Used, Motionless In White, etc. In Vein just released a cover of Rob Zombie’s “Meet the Creeper,” and their single “Haunt Me” can be streamed on Spotify. Here are two of my favorites, “Death Of Me” and “Behind the Curtain.”

Alternative/pop/rock from California. For fans of early Fall Out Boy, Justin Timberlake, 5 Seconds of Summer, etc. Romance & Rebellion is currently promoting the Amps & Anthems EP. Crank up “For a Moment” and “Boys Don’t Cry (BDC).”

Rock & roll from Georgia. For fans of Lynam, My Darkest Days, Sixx AM, etc. Lindsy Says is touring to promote their first CD. Here is their first single, “Hold On Me,” and a live video of them playing “Headlights.”

1. Aesthetic Perfection

Industrial pop from California. For fans of Combichrist, Sköld, Grendel, etc. Aesthetic Perfection just released their most recent EP, Ebb and Flow, in February. Below are the title track and my personal favorite AP song, “A Quiet Anthem” from 2008’s A Violent Emotion.

2. Of Empires

Rock outta the UK. For fans of The Doors, Joy Division, and Queens of the Stone Age. Of Empires is a unique blend of classic, psychedelic, and blues rock. Check out “Susie” on Spotify, then watch the video for “Baby Darlin’ Sugar.”

3. Blue Helix

A rock/grunge band whose members hail from both Washington and Brazil. For fans of Soundgarden, Tool, Fuel, etc. Listen to their latest single, “Antisocial Butterfly.”

4. Death Valley High

Death disco/goth rock from California. For fans of Bauhaus, Samhain, Crosses, etc. Death Valley High incorporates cinematic elements, along with new wave and dance, for music that is both fun and catchy. My favorite song is “Multiply.”

5. Super bob

A blend of rock, hip-hop, and electronic music from Washington DC. For fans of Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Skrillex, etc. Super bob is one of the most entertaining bands you will ever see live. Their energy is infectious. Here is the title track from their last album, Killer.

Album of the Week: Evestus’s No God (EP)

I discovered Evestus when I began doing my “5 Bands/Artists You Should Be Following.” As a fan of Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, etc., I thought Evestus seemed right up my alley.

I was right.
