Flashback Friday: Alice Cooper’s “School’s Out”
On this day in 1972, Alice Cooper was at number one in the UK with “School’s Out.” Considering that I just saw him this past Tuesday with my dad, it seemed appropriate he should be featured in my Flashback Friday post 🙂 Keep an eye out for my review of the show!
Bands You Should Know: Like a Storm
Like a Storm isn’t exactly one of those bands you’ve never heard of, but I guess I was late to the party. I stumbled across them on Twitter. Their page was suggested to me based on my other likes, so I went to YouTube and listened to “Love the Way You Hate Me.” I don’t think it’s a big surprise that after finding everything I could online, I ordered their 2015 release Awaken the Fire.
For those of you who are like I was and are unfamiliar with Like a Storm, the band hails from New Zealand. They fall into multiple genres, including hard rock and alternative metal. But they are also in a category that is all their own: didgeridoo metal. Wanna know why? Well, just check out the songs below.
“Love the Way You Hate Me”
“Wish You Hell”
“Ordinary” (my personal favorite)
