Album of the Week: Collective Soul’s Youth

I’ve been in love with Collective Soul ever since I can remember. I saw them twice on the tour for Youth, and the memories of those two shows add to my enjoyment of the album.

Weekly Focus: Collective Soul, Day One

One of my favorite bands of all time ❤

Collective Soul — “Shine,” from the album Hints Allegations & Things Left Unsaid (1993).

Let’s Talk Covers (Pt. 11)

1. Bobaflex: “Hey You” (Pink Floyd cover)

Okay, I love Pink Floyd, and Bobaflex totally does them justice. This version of “Hey You” stays true to the original while also having that Bobaflex edge. ❤

2. Marilyn Manson: “Tainted Love” (Soft Cell cover)

3. Almost Kings: “So Sophisticated” (Rick Ross cover)

Weekly Focus: Creed, Day One

So, in theory, everyone “hates” Creed these days. Well…I don’t. I was never a huge fan, but I will give credit where credit is due. Creed was a good rock band made up of talented musicians and songwriters. The way I figure it, they deserve to be recognized.

Creed — “My Own Prison,” from the album My Own Prison (1997).
