Happy Birthday, Jimmy Page!

The great Jimmy Page turns 72 today! So jam out to some Led Zeppelin in his honor 🙂 Below are three of my favorite songs by LZ.

I know some of you may consider it base treachery that “Stairway to Heaven” didn’t make my top three. Lol. 😉 I’ve just always loved these in particular.

Throwback Thursday: “Don’t Come Around Here No More”

Tom Petty was my first rock star crush. My parents took me to see him twice when I was eight-years-old. This is not my favorite song by him, though it is one of them. However, I really adore this video. 🙂

Song of the Week: “Welcome to the Machine”

Okay, so I’m a mildly obsessed Pink Floyd fan. I have loved them ever since I can remember (thanks to my parents). In honor of the fact that it has been 30 years since Pink Floyd released Wish You Were Here, which happens to be my second favorite album by them, I’m posting this as my song of the week. 🙂

Pink Floyd — “Welcome to the Machine,” from the album Wish You Were Here (1975).

Throwback Thursday: “Photograph”

I grew up listening to The Beatles with my mom. I always loved Ringo’s solo stuff. I remember going to see Ringo and his all star band when I was really little, around the age of six or seven. He waved at me and it basically made my life. Lol. This year, my dad took my mom to see them for Valentine’s Day. To say that Ringo’s music–actually, the music of every member of the Beatles, both individually and together–has played a huge role in my life would be an understatement. So today I decided to make my throwback track “Photograph,” from the album Ringo, released in 1973.
