I’ve had “Dig” stuck in my head. Lol. That’s literally the main reason I chose L.D. 50 as my album of the week 🙂

I’ve had “Dig” stuck in my head. Lol. That’s literally the main reason I chose L.D. 50 as my album of the week 🙂

I became aware of Tim Sköld’s existence when he temporarily joined Marilyn Manson. I don’t remember where I learned that he was a member of KMFDM, but I assumed that was where he came from. It wasn’t until last year that I stumbled across his solo work.
Anomie has two of my favorite songs by Sköld — “(This is My) Elephant” and “Suck” — and that’s why it is my album of the week.

The first song I listened to by Poets of the Fall was “Daze.” It was amazing, so I picked the album it was on — Jealous Gods — as my featured record this week.

I chose Extremist by Demon Hunter as my album of the week after another YouTube browsing session, during which I stumbled across “I Will Fail You” and “The Heart of a Graveyard.”
This album was released prior to my discovery of AFI, but when I was in tenth grade, my best friend was obsessed with “Days of the Phoenix.” And so I’ve chosen The Art of Drowning as my album of the week!

My introduction to Ivan Moody was Motograter’s “Down.” After listening to a few more tracks from the band’s self-titled record (the only one to feature Moody on vocals), I fell in love with his voice. So my pick for album of the week is Motograter…from Motograter. 🙂

I was going through the list of bands I’ve already featured and I noticed that the Gin Blossoms are on it, but Spin Doctors are not. So I decided to remedy that.
I chose Pocket Full of Kryptonite as album of the week because it is the one from Spin Doctors with which I am most familiar. How many of you actually owned a copy? 🙂

As it is the week before Christmas, I decided to be festive with my posts for the next seven days! I know there are several albums dedicated to this holiday, but NSYNC’s Home for Christmas holds a special place in my heart.

I have to admit: I wasn’t impressed when I first heard “Open Your Eyes.” However, upon giving the entirety of One Day Remains a chance, I discovered that it is a very strong record from start to finish. My favorite tracks are “One Day Remains,” “Find the Real,” “In Loving Memory,” and “Shed My Skin.” Oh… and I adore “Watch Your Words.” 💜💜💜

The same night I discovered last week’s featured band (Lord of the Lost), I stumbled across Crywolf. I decided to give him a chance and, as you can guess, it was a good choice. If you like a more mellow take on dance/electronica, Crywolf is the artist for you. And so, my album of the week is 2017’s Skeletons.
