I love Bruno Mars! I’ve actually almost convinced my mom to go see him with me. She likes the funk element to his music.
I chose Unorthodox Jukebox as my album of the week because I used to be obsessed with “Gorilla” and “Locked Out of Heaven.”

I love Type O Negative. I can’t even explain it. They make me feel all witchy and creepy and sexy. Lol. The first song I really remember hearing by them is “I Don’t Wanna Be Me,” so I chose Life is Killing Me as my album of the week.
P.S. – Look up the lyrics to “Anesthesia.” They are so beautiful.

And One is a guilty pleasure. Ever since I heard “Military Fashion Show,” I’ve been a fan. I chose Aggressor as my album of the week. This is And One’s seventh studio album and was released in 1993.

I remember listening to Throwing Copper a lot when I was a little kid. The song “Shit Towne” never ceased to amuse me back then. Ha! But this album was my introduction to Live, as well as my brother’s, and it made fans of us both.

Is it bad when one of a band’s weaker albums is still stronger than other artists’ best albums? That’s how I feel about AB III. It is not at the top of their catalog, in my opinion, yet Alter Bridge has undoubtedly done something special with this record. Standout tracks such as “Wonderful Life” and “Words Darker Than Their Wings” have this offering in my player more often than not.

I am not a huge 3 Doors Down fan, but they undoubtedly have some really good/catchy songs. And, as obvious as it might seem, I did love “Here Without You” and “When I’m Gone” off 2002’s Away from the Sun.

Given that Orgy is touring this fall, I have decided to indulge in a refresher course, so to speak. My album for this week is their 2004 release Punk Statik Paranoia.

My best friend Tiffany and I were huge fans of The Murderdolls, so it made perfect sense to follow Wednesday on his solo endeavor. I remember Tiff’s mom taking us to buy Transylvania 90210: Songs of Death, Dying, and the Dead when it was released ❤

Before Alter Bridge, Myles Kennedy was in a band called The Mayfield Four. I checked them out because I love all things Myles. My favorite song is “Sick and Wrong,” which comes from 2001’s Second Skin — my album of the week.

I discovered Death Valley High via Instagram and decided to feature them in an installment of “5 Bands/Artists You Should Be Following.” As I listened to as many songs as I could find, I fell in love with “Multiply” from Doom, in Full Bloom. And so, here it is, my album of the week.
