2008 releases
Song of the Day — Ashbury Heights: “Spiders”
Weekly Focus: Oomph!, Pt. II, Day Three
Oomph! — “In deinen Hüften,” from the album Monster (2008).
Album of the Week: My Chemical Romance’s The Black Parade Is Dead!
With MCR playing a reunion show in December, I thought it appropriate that one of their live albums be my Album of the Week. I chose The Black Parade Is Dead! for a couple of reasons, including the fact that I love The Black Parade anyway, and also that I saw them on that tour!

Playlist Challenge, Day 795
Oomph! — “Labyrinth”
Weekly Focus: Songs About Halloween, Day One
Marilyn Manson — “This is Halloween,” from the album/soundtrack Nightmare Revisited (2008).
How could I not start the week off with this classic? I chose Manson’s version, as it’s my favorite, but here are two alternates you might enjoy!
Panic! at the Disco
Broken Peach

It’s the week of Halloween! This is the perfect time to bring your attention to 2008’s Nightmare Revisited, a collection of Danny Elfman songs — composed for the movie The Nightmare Before Christmas — reimagined by contemporary artists such as Marilyn Manson, Flyleaf, and Korn.

Weekly Focus: Britney Spears, Day Six
Britney Spears — “Lace and Leather,” from the album Circus (2008).
