Let’s Talk Covers (Pt. 2)

Just a few more of my favorite covers. 🙂

1. Dope: “You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)”

2. Marilyn Manson: “Sweet Dreams”

3. Bobaflex: “Sound of Silence”

Did y’all know there was another version? Well, now you do.

Let’s Talk Covers (Pt. 1)

I stumbled across an old mixed CD that had nothing but covers on it. Now, most of the time I always think the original is better, but there are some instances in which I have to call it a tie.

This is part one and will include 3 tracks. I’m not sure how many parts there will be. 🙂

1. Disturbed: “Sound of Silence”

Even my parents like this one.

2. The Murderdolls: “White Wedding”

My best friend and I used to watch this video on repeat.

3. Toad the Wet Sprocket: “Hey Bulldog”

This sounds a lot like the original, and it is one of my favorite songs by The Beatles.

Weekly Focus: Marilyn Manson, Day One

I’ve been a fan of Manson for a long time and Mechanical Animals is undoubtedly my favorite of his albums. This song… ❤

New Music from Almost Kings!

A few months ago, Almost Kings bassist Danny Helms let me listen to “Never Gonna Happen” on his phone. My interest was piqued immediately because it’s them but…different. It made me very excited for the upcoming album (and I will undoubtedly be posting a review the instant it hits my hands).

They have now released a video for the song. Please check it out and give them some feedback!
