Goodreads Reading Challenge 2026 [February]

February was a slow month for me. I only read four books. Well, five, actually, if you count re-reading Odd Thomas. (I was showing solidarity to a coworker who was reading it for the first time but knew it would break her heart because she’d seen the movie.)

Anyway, here are the books I completed! I’ve gotta get back on track in March.

1. Society of Lies (Lauren Ling Brown)

Rating: 3.5/5

2. Local Woman Missing (Mary Kubica)

Rating: 3.5/5

3. Neverwhere (Neil Gaiman)

Rating: 4.5/5

4. People We Meet on Vacation (Emily Henry)

Rating: 3.5/5

I am currently reading The Homewreckers (Mary Kay Andrews) and An Unwanted Guest (Shari Lapena).

Progress: 11/80

30 Day Film Challenge: Day 29 – A Film That Makes You Want to Fall in Love

I’m not the overly romantic type, so this one’s difficult. But…maybe because I just watched it, or maybe because I’m a bit of a sucker for the bad-boy-turned-Romeo trope, I’m going to choose 10 Things I Hate About You (1999). I don’t know how “in love” they were, as high school kids; however, this movie does get me feeling like I want a cutesy relationship.

30 Day Film Challenge: Day 18 – A Film That Stars Your Favorite Actor/Actress

I’m gonna do my favorite actor(s)/actress from the classics, then my more current faves.

First would be The Philadelphia Story (1940). I said in an earlier post that you can’t go wrong with Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn. Well, add in Jimmy Stewart, and you basically have perfection.

More recent actors that I enjoy include Robert Downey Jr. and Robert Duvall, and they are a near flawless pairing in The Judge (2014).

30 Day Film Challenge: Day 15 – A Film That Makes You Feel Happy

Let’s be honest: you can never go wrong with Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn.

Bringing Up Baby (1938)
